Holds and Recall

  • Books put on hold will be held for 14 days.
  • Books are subject to recall if needed for course reserves.

Guest Borrowing

  • Guests may apply for a library card by filling out a registration form
  • At least one form of identification is needed
  • Card is free for alumni, $15 for guests

Library card policies

  • Guest library card may be used at the Seminary St. Paul and University Libraries.
  • Guests must agree to comply with the policies of the Seminary Libraries and to pay fees charged.
  • Guests must agree to give prompt notice of any change of address, phone number, or of card loss.

Checking Out & Returning Library Materials

  • Library materials and equipment may be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
  • Return books to the Circulation Desk when the library is open.
  • After hours, books can be returned to the book drop in the hallway outside the library or at the library’s back door (access it through the Seminary service road on the north side of the library).

Mailing Library Material

  • The library will mail material to students enrolled in the InMinistry or Doctor of Ministry program who live outside the seven county Twin Cities Metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties) in Minnesota OR outside San Diego County in California.
  • Students must pay for return shipping
