April is National Poetry Month and 2014 is special because it marks William Shakespeare's 450th birthday! The University Library is celebrating poetry, with a special focus on sonnets, in honor of the "Bard of Avon."

Shakespeare's 450th Birthday Sonnet Contest

The English Department and the University Library are sponsoring a contest. Submit your original sonnet by April 7, 2014. Prizes will be awarded and winners will be invited to read their sonnets in the library on April 17 @ 10:20 a.m. Find out more about how to write a sonnet(pdf) using our handy worksheet.
