Special Guest Speaker

Peggy Kendall

Peggy Kendall

Peggy Kendall, Ph.D., has taught in the Department of Communication Studies for the past eight years. Her research interests include investigating how adolescents use technology such as Instant Messenger and MySpace. With three teenagers of her own, she is especially interested in how parents can best help their kids learn to manage new developments in communication. She has two books on the subject coming out this fall, and is a frequent speaker for PTA meetings and church groups.
Kendall has a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, an M.A. in counseling psychology (St. Mary’s University), and an M.A. in education (University of St. Thomas).

Helget

Sarah Helget

Sarah Helget ’07, a nursing major, will conclude the program with a student reflection.

Garden Growing

When facing the cares and problems that come our way, wouldn’t it be nice to plug in a weed-whacker and “get the garden growing?

Too often the beautiful blooms of everyday life are overcome by weeds. By clearing out busyness and bitterness, we can experience the true beauty God has promised. Peggy Kendall’s insights on this subject will make your day—and life—a bit more promising.

Celebrate the beauty of spring and the warmth of each other’s presence at the Bethel Women’s Spring Celebration! Enjoy a delicious lunch, beautiful music, and a message sure to inspire.
