Parents and Families
Saturday, April 19 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
North Oaks Golf Club - 54 East Oaks Road, North Oaks
Patrice Conrath
Patrice Conrath, M.S., has been teaching in the Department of Math and Computer Science for 18 years. She enjoys mentoring students and modeling real-world situations with her Operations Research class. In her journey of managing recent physical challenges with work and family responsibilities, she has come to recognize and appreciate “God sightings.”
Teresa DeGolier
Teresa DeGolier, Ph.D., says one of the things she most enjoys about teaching is watching students’ excitement grow as they become engaged in life-long learning.
She has been teaching in Bethel’s Department of Biological Sciences for 14 years, with her primary teaching and research interest in physiology. She will share biological vision as a metaphor, challenging us to stay focused!
Kari Rinke
Kari Rinke, a nursing major, will conclude the program with a student reflection. She has a heart for missions, specifically Africa, and will be spending the summer doing a nursing internship in the Ivory Coast. She plans on pursuing further education to specialize in women’s health/public health education for women, and to return to Africa long-term after graduation.
“No man is an island,” wrote poet John Donne, a truth echoed by many others after him. No woman is an island, either. Isn’t if funny how the events and circumstances of life—and our reactions to them—can touch others?
That we are capable of great influence is reason for rejoicing and reflection. Women’s Spring Celebration 2008 will feature the observations of two respected Bethel faculty members and a current nursing student. While no two faith journeys are alike, their power and potential for reaching others are universal.
Welcome spring and enjoy each other’s presence at the Bethel Women’s Spring Celebration! This can’t-miss event includes a scrumptious lunch, music to touch the heart, and a message sure to inspire.
Members of Love Abiding include Lisa Koenigsberg, Natalie Dahlquist, Kari Nelson, Allison Terlizzi, Erika Biermeier, Kari Solberg, and Christie Calvin.
Love Abiding is a seven-member ensemble comprised of members from the Bethel Choir who desire to help others realize their worth and the Lord’s deep love for them. The group has enjoyed singing at various events around the Twin Cities since their freshman year and are excited to be returning to the Women’s Spring Celebration.
The cost of the luncheon is $20 for adults, $15 for students.
A punch reception begins at 10:30 a.m.
