A newsletter for parents of Bethel University students
Bethel’s campus provides an appealing learning environment, but
students still enjoy an occasional change of scenery. Students with or
without their own transportation may occasionally wonder how to “get
around” beyond the college walls.
Does Bethel provide any transportation options to the surrounding communities?
Bethel has a shuttle service both around the campus and to nearby suburbs. Brooke Deneen, scheduling coordinator, notes that the service is available most days from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., with a separate weekend schedule, and stops at different buildings and most residence halls. It offers a great opportunity for students to pick up groceries at the Roseville SuperTarget or shop for tees at Rosedale Mall, a location that is a significant hub for the Metro Transit Bus system.
“Our goal is to extend Royal Care to our students who have no other means of transportation by providing a shuttle service that is safe and efficient, both around campus and to off-campus locations,” says Deneen. Students can access the shuttle schedule through Bethel’s internal website
Students with cars can minister to their fellow students by offering a ride when needed, as well. Deneen notes Metro Transit buses and a light rail are accessible for Twin Cities travel, and an area “SuperShuttle” (800.258.3826; www.supershuttle.com) provides transportation to and from the international airport.
