Obtaining a Personal Home Page

Prerequisites:

• You must be a current student, faculty, or staff member at Bethel University.
• You must understand and be willing to follow Bethel's home page policies.
• You need to understand a bit about the World-Wide Web, the basics of HTML (hyper-text markup language), and good HTML style.

Procedure:

• Read Bethel's home page policies.

• Learn about the World-Wide Web, the basic elements of HTML, and something about acceptable HTML style. The links below should provide sufficient preparation.

  • The World-Wide Web: Origins and Beyond
  • The bare bones guide to HTML
• Your main page should be named index.html.
• Go to https://directory.bethel.edu/account/ and select the "Create My Personal Web Site" link.
