Prayer Team Leaders Participate in a Live Teleconference Call with
Prayer Council Members

On Monday, December 5, 2007, 15 prayer team leaders were involved
in a Bethel “first”: participating in a live teleconference
call with President Brushaber and members of the President’s
Prayer Council.
The teleconference call opened new opportunities to unite hearts in
prayer for Bethel. Because of this helpful technology, individuals
from coast to coast were spiritually nourished and able to join others
on campus as they prayerfully supported Bethel’s mission and
ministry. During the meeting, Rod Larson shared a brief devotional;
President Brushaber highlighted praise and prayer items.
While on the teleconference call, the group prayed for specific issues.
We invite you to join in prayer for the following:
- Thankfulness for the Presidential Search Committee and prayer for
guidance as God leads them in the search process for the next president.
- Appreciation for the faithfulness of our donors. Please pray for
the successful completion of the “Taking the Next Step” comprehensive
resource campaign.
- Thankfulness for the recognition of Bethel’s chemistry department
by the American Chemical Society. Continue to pray that Bethel’s
academic programs will remain strong.
- Gratitude for the success of our strong athletic program. Be sure
to pray that Bethel coaches and athletes will persist in exemplifying
a Christian lifestyle and are kept safe as they travel.
- This year’s Festival of Christmas was a marvelous. Pray that
the broadcast will impact listeners.
- Bethel’s mid-year commencement program will be held on December
19. Graduates from College of Arts & Sciences, the College of
Adult & Professional Studies, and Graduate School will participate.
Please pray for students as they complete papers, projects, and prepare
for final exams.
- Thankfulness for Bethel’s leadership team. Please pray for Provost
Jay Barnes and other search committee members seeking to fill open leadership
positions.
