Bethel, Birdies, and Bogies

Bethel Golf Classic celebrates 15 years of fun.

Summer 2009

In record-breaking heat (but no rain!), 116 golfers participated in the 15th annual Bethel Golf Classic at Stone-Ridge Golf Club in Stillwater, Minn. Winners Dan Conrad ’90, Paul Schurbring ’92, Jeff Smith ’92, and Mark Perunovich ’90—longtime Bethel friends and roommates who reunited at the event for the first time since their graduation—came in 16 under par.

Following 18 holes of golf, attendees enjoyed a steak and walleye dinner in the clubhouse, heard from current Bethel senior Sarah Peterson about the new Brushaber Commons and President Jay Barnes on his vision for Bethel, and participated in drawings for more than 20 door prizes totaling over $5,600.
Says Conrad, “With our good friend Jay Barnes as the new president, we are excited about Bethel’s present and future, but can’t help but fondly remember our past at Bethel too.”
