Bethel Partners with TRANS4M Four World Center to Offer Degree in Social and Economic Innovation

Burning issues face our world today—issues like environmental decay, endemic conflict, corruption, economic inequality, poverty, and despair. Now Bethel Seminary is partnering with TRANS4M Four World Center for Social Innovation, based in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, to try to be part of a solution. Together, these two organizations offer an exciting new Doctor of Ministry in Social and Economic Innovation degree. This unique local/global cohort develops leaders of non-governmental organizations, pastors, denominational leaders, and promoters of corporate social responsibility who are called to innovative social and economic justice within their ministry contexts. Taught to become more effective servants of their societies, participants learn to advance and benefit “the other” as opposed to themselves.

The TRANS4M Four World Center for Social Innovation, Geneva, has developed one of the most cutting-edge and globally tested approaches in social innovation and transformation. The research-and education-based organization, cofounded by Ronnie Lessum, Ph.D., and Alexander Schieffer, Ph.D., represents a growing community of social innovators and agents of transformation from all over the world. TRANS4M empowers individuals, organizations, and whole communities from all sectors of society to transform themselves so as to create truly sustainable social innovation.
