Q1. How do I find an email address for someone at Bethel?

Bethel has a public directory to find the email address of any current employee or student. Follow this link to the email directory, type in the appropriate box the last and first names of the person you wish to find, and click "Search."


Q2. How can I find the phone number, email or postal address of a student, faculty, or staff?

For phone numbers, call the Bethel switchboard at 651.638.6400. The most frequently requested Bethel phone numbers are listed on our Contacts page.

To address an on-campus student, faculty, or staff, use one of the applicable Bethel campus addresses in the table below. Above the address include the person's name and  Bethel P.O. Box number, if known (use the Online Public Directory to find the Bethel PO Box number of current students, staff, and faculty). Here's an example:

You can request information online by filling in the form, Request for Additional Information, then submitting it. Your request will go directly the the Office of Admissions and they will respond to you according to your request.


Q5. Does Bethel offer distance education courses?

Yes. The Graduate School offers an Ed.D., a doctorate in Educational Administration.
Bethel Seminary offers distance programs for the Master of Divinity; M.A. in Transformational Leadership; M.A. in Children’s & Family Ministry; M.A. in Christian Thought, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Visit the Bethel Virtual Seminary page for more information about these programs.

Q7. How do I get to the Bethel Campus?

Bethel is located approximately 10 minutes north of both downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. Directions to the campus are found in Bethel's Directions to Campus and Area Maps page. Q12. What is the Bethel Parents Hotline number?

Questions and comments during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, can be directed via phone to 651.638.6530. For emergencies after hours and on weekends, call Bethel Security at 651.638.6055.


Q13. As an alum of the Bethel University, what services are available to me? Is there an alumni association or a way to contact other alumni?

Q14. How do I get a copy of my Bethel transcript?

Your signature is needed before a transcript can be sent out. Mail a letter with your full name, signature, Bethel ID number or Social Security number, and the address you'd like it sent to.

For transcripts from the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Adult & Professional Studies, or Graduate School (all formerly known as "Bethel College"), mail the signed letter with a $2 processing fee to:

Q15. What services are offered to parents of Bethel students?

Bethel provides a hotline phone number (see Q12 above), as well as events for parents such as Parents Weekend -- which includes seminars, a breakfast, and picnic for parents along with a football game and evening concert. Other services and events provided throughout the year include Valentine care packages for students, Women's Spring Celebration, all-school banquet served by Bethel parents, and a commencement banquet for parents of seniors. Bethel also sends out a newsletter for parents of students, with lists of what's going on at Bethel, including activities and events, as well as special opportunities for parents. Job Openings and Career Placement

Q16. Is Bethel currently interviewing for any employment positions? Where do I find out about these possibilities?

For a list of staff job openings, call the Office of Human Resources at 651.638.6119, call their 24-hour Bethel Job Line at 651.635.8633, or visit their web site. The Office of Human Resources is located in the Robertson Center, room number 311. Their office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Links are also provided on the Human Resource site for open Bethel University and seminary faculty positions.
 


Q17. Does Bethel University have placement services for students and alumni?

The Bethel University Office of Career Services is located in CC332. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To talk with a staff member or schedule an appointment, call 651.638.6460. Alumni are able to access the resources and services of the Office of Career Services at no cost. Email the Office of Career Services at career-services@bethel.edu.

The Bethel Seminary Ministry Placement Office is located in F203. If you are interested in completing a Placement Profile, call Greg Meland at 651.635.8541 for an appointment.
