The big secret? Bethel University academics. Jennifer graduated from Bethel and went on to complete her M.D. at the University of Minnesota. Today, she's on her way to a joint pediatrics residency with Harvard and Boston University. At Bethel she found a passion for medical missions - boy did she - she's been to Haiti 12 times. So, what was it about Bethel? “People know Bethel for its great student life and Christian environment, but the academics and professors are so strong, too.” She should know, having garnered six letters of recommendation from Bethel profs for medical school. What else? “Bethel gave me my first exposure to the third world during a Biology class in Ecuador.” Future plans? “Practice pediatric medicine in the United States and abroad - and I'd love to teach - at Bethel.”
