Mentoring Ministries

BSG sponsors 2 mentoring ministries for freshman, sophomores, and new transfers. Check out these opportunities to be mentored or serve as a mentor.

These programs are designed to encourage and support new students through a mentoring relationship that begins mid-October and continues through April. Each mentoring relationship is developed through one-on-one meetings that each pair plans, typically twice a month.

Woven Lives

Woven Lives is a BSG-sponsored mentoring program for first-year female CAS students. It pairs interested students with women from Bethel's faculty and staff.

Iron for Iron

Iron for Iron is a men's mentorship group through BSG's Student Ministries department for first and second year CAS students. This group pairs interested students one-on-one with men from Bethel's faculty and staff. As the name that reflects Proverbs 27:17 suggests, the goal is to let these close relationships sharpen not only the mentee, but also the mentor.

Still in development, this group will be new in the fall of 2014, and mentoring relationship will start in October, and go through April. Each mentoring relationship is different, though most partnerships will typically meet twice a month.
