HR News Articles

How to add a news article:
1.    Go to https://bethelnet.bethel.edu/hr/edit
2.    Click the HR News Publication (Orange grouping of trees)
3.    Click 2009 Publication Folder
4.    Check the sample article box and then click copy (you will paste it into the current month to use as a template)
5.    Click into current month and paste sample article. 
6.    *If adding photo, add before creating article.   If not adding image skip to 7.
        a.    Select Silva Image
        b.    Browse for image
        c.    Add title and new id to full image and thumbnail image
        i.    Name ex: Keyword-full and Keyword-thumb
        d.    Click save
        e.    Click back into photo to scale image
               i.    Full image recommended size no larger than [300x200]
               ii.    Thumb image should be [85x70]
        f.    Click change
        g.    Go back to contents
7.    Rename the sample article. Click the box and click rename.
       *Once you have renamed the article you will not be able to change the id.  You will be able to change the title.
8.    Then click into the article and place information. 
9.    Right side menu
        a.    Properties
               i.     Display method should be [Teaser + Image]
               ii.    Teaser should be first line of paragraph or date of event
        b.    News Images
               i.    This is where to add the image previously uploaded (#6)

How to add a calendar event:
1.    Go to http://www.bethel.edu/calendar/
2.    Click Submit an Event
3.    Title: Day after Thanksgiving
4.    One-Sentence description: Not needed
5.    Start Date/Time:
6.    End Date/Time:
*Times be removed after submitted by Web Services
7.    Event Location should be: All Bethel University Holiday
8.    Web Link: n/a
9.    Public Categories: n/a

10.    Internal Only Categories Should be: Employee Holidays
