Bethel Websites

- To edit any Bethel web page, start by going to the site URL and typing "edit" at the end of the URL.
Silva Navigation

- Contents: This displays the content of the folder you are in. If you are ever lost click the little up arrow next to it on the right.
- Preview: This gives you a basic preview of the page you just created.
- Properties: This allows Web Services to change title bars, headers, and footers.
- Access: This is where Web Services assign who has access to view, edit, and approve web pages
- Publish: This is where you request web page approvals. Add a specific comment to the edit that has been made to the page and allow 2-3 business days for the request to be approved. Please plan accordingly.
- Template: This where navigation can be changed on web pages. This is something you can learn how to do in an advance Silva course.
New Web Objects

- To create new web objects like a folder, image, document, or any other thing select the object you want to create from the drop down on the content screen
Documents/Websites
- We will be using the Kupu editor to create our web pages.
Links/Images and Tables

- In the right hand menu that are three things that we
will be using to create our webpage.
- Use the link toolbar to
create both external and internal links.

- Use the image toolbar to add images that have already been
loaded into Silva.

- Use the table toolbar to create a table for your web page.

Publishing
If you have author access, which should be listed in your follow-up email, you should see this:
- Click the publish tab across the top navigation to request approval by placing a short summary of your edits to the page and then clicking request approval. Reminder all requests should be given 2-3 business days to be approved. Urgent requests should be emailed to the Chief editor of the web page which should also be listed in your follow-up email.

If you have Editor access:
- Click the publish tab or button in the upper right hand corner to publish your web page to the public.
