Avoid web clichés. We try to stay away from using the phrase, "Click here." The hyperlink should describe where it's pointing. For example, instead of "Click Here," use a phrase that describes what's behind the link such as "request a brochure," "More information," or "Register online."
Link phrases rather than single words. Phrases are easier to spot. They also help search engines evaluate how useful our pages are. Only link the period at the end of a sentence if you're linking the entire sentence, which should only be a short sentence on a rare occasion.
Avoid including urls on your page. Because we have the ability to link words and phrases, that's what we should do.
Internal links should be used whenever possible. An internal link is a link to something you have access to in Silva. An external link is some other area of Bethel where you don't have access or site outside of Bethel like Google or CNN.
Highlight the phrase and click the magnifying glass icon within the link menu on the right hand side.

External link
Instead of clicking the magnifying glass, simply paste the full url (including http://) into the text field.
