Bethel Students Competing in the 
2004 National Mathematical Contest in Modeling

Bethel is once again fielding a talented team of problem-solvers for the annual COMAP competition. Each year Bethel competes against teams from hundreds of colleges and universities around the world to see which team can come up with the best solution to an open-ended mathematical problem. Bethel has had remarkable success in recent years.

Rules

bulletThey have 96 hours from Thursday the 5th at 8 p.m. EST until Monday the 9th at 8 p.m. EST
bulletThey will not know what the problem is until they begin on Thursday

This Mathematical Contest in Modeling is organized by the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP) and sponsored by the National Security Agency (NSA), the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
