Reflective Metaphors:

Fan the Flame

I am "on fire" for education! I want to guide students by showing them warmth and by lighting their way. Warmth is shown by caring for each individual, regardless of background or ability. Light is provided by being one step ahead of, rather than behind, students. I try to be flexible by adjusting my temperature or the particular way in which I flicker.

Don't get the idea I'm a pushover, though. I'll withstand even the strongest of winds because I am resilient. I burn efficiently so I don't burn out. From me springs eternal hope, for I represent one greater than me; the One who fans my flame.
