Centers of Excellence

The initial phase of the Centers of Excellence project will be to create a Center of Excellence in Healthcare. Bethel is currently looking for an executive director for the Center of Excellence in Healthcare to lead this initiative. In the meantime, we have asked Ted Harro—the consultant who worked with Bethel during the Strategic Coalition process—to fill the interim role of launch director. This will allow us to keep moving the project forward while the search for the executive director continues.

The following individuals have been asked to serve on the search committee for this position:

  • Deb Harless (chair), executive vice president and provost
  • Jim Bender, director of alumni and parent relations
  • Dick Crombie, vice president and dean, College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School
  • Joe LaLuzerne, senior vice president for strategic planning and operational effectiveness
  • Marion Larson, professor in English
  • Steve Ogren, adjunct instructor, College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School
  • Bruce Olsen, associate professor in business
  • Beth Peterson, department chair, professor in nursing
  • Jeff Sanders, associate dean of formation and student development, Bethel Seminary
  • Sarah Sauerbry, senior human resources partner
  • Deb Sullivan-Trainor, vice president and dean for College of Arts & Sciences
