Dr. Richard Kohler grew up in Miami, Florida and moved to San Diego, California to pursue his graduate studies. He obtained his Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and his doctorate degree in Psychology. Dr. Kohler has over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. He has worked with the military population, the elderly, children and adolescents in both intensive day treatment and residential group home facilities, and those with chemical dependency issues. He serves as Executive Director for a residential treatment facility and is President of an Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Use. Dr. Kohler enjoys fishing, hiking, and running. He has completed several half and full marathons.
