Christine Berry

Christine Berry

Preschool Teacher, Communication Corps Specialist

Hello, my name is Christine Berry. First and foremost, I am a Christ follower, then a mother of two and a teacher of many. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies here at Bethel University. I have a BA in elementary education with a pre-primary specialty and a Master’s degree in literacy education. I have been teaching at the Child Development Center for over 12 years.

My passions include teaching and learning. Outside of spending time with my family, I love reading, swimming and enjoying the great outdoors. One of my favorite childhood books is The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

Cyndi Domin

Cyndi Domin

Infant Teacher

Started at Bethel: 1994

Cyndi graduated from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida with a degree in elementary education, and minors in early childhood and special education. She has taught 1st and 2nd grade, been a long-term substitute for grades K-8, an early childhood teacher for 30 years, including at the YMCA and St. Andrews CDC. She has taught Sunday school and VBS through her church and has also been a pediatric dental assistant. She's also a grandmother of 2.

Cyndi loves watching a child grow and develop and seeing the wonder as he/she discovers the world.

Favorite children's book: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault

When she's not at work, Cyndi enjoys time with her family (especially her 2 adorable grandchildren!) and friends, long walks, swimming, sailing, golfing, and enjoying the sunshine! She enjoys people, learning about their stories, and sharing their experiences.

Glynnis Maki

Glynnis Maki

Head Teacher, Toddler Teacher, Student Employee Supervisor

Started at Bethel in: 1995

Before coming to the Bethel University Child Development Center, I worked at the Cradler Club with the older toddlers. I have been working with toddlers since I graduated from Bethel in 1990. During my time teaching, I have read and enjoyed many children’s books. A favorite of mine is Time for Bed by Mem Fox.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outside and with my family. I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, looking for beach glass and road trips. I especially like a good campfire.

I chose Early Childhood Education as a career because I enjoy working with children and their families. At Bethel, I am also able to work with the college students too. This is a career where I am constantly learning and teaching. I am also able to see a child’s excitement as they have experiences for the first time.

Suzanne Montgomery

Suzanne Montgomery

Infant Teacher

Started at Bethel: 2018

Suzanne Montgomery moved to MN with her husband and children in 2002. Suzanne majored in Psychology, Religion, and Sociology at Wartburg College in IA. She volunteered with the Denver Urban Servant Corps and worked as a teacher/counselor and caseworker with girls in residential treatment prior to starting a family and career in early childhood education. Suzanne has worked with all preschool-aged classrooms but enjoys focusing on infants because of the wide range of growth that happens at this age.

Suzanne sites Guess How Much I Love You as one of her favorite children’s books but believes there is value in any reading that is done with children. Suzanne and her husband, Jeff, have 4 children of their own.  They enjoy traveling to visit family out of state and learn more about the world at large. Once an avid scrapbooker, Suzanne is still a photography enthusiast with hopes of completing more albums for her family to enjoy.

As the child of a teacher, Suzanne fell into the field of early childhood naturally, having always wanted to work with children, originally thinking that it may be in the school system as a speech therapist or counselor. She found that working in her children’s school allowed her to stay involved in their activities and fostered their Christian values. She is thrilled to be able to share her faith with the smallest of Bethel's students and started at the CDC in 2018.

Sue Wilberts

Sue Wilberts

Toddler Classroom Teacher

Started at Bethel: 1993

Sue has an M. Ed. degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota, June 1993. Prior to coming to teach at the CDC on March 8, 1993, Sue was a high school Home Economics teacher for several years in southern Minnesota. Sue has always wanted to be a teacher.  Sue enjoys the opportunity to work with children, parents and college students at the CDC.

What Sue enjoys most about working with children is their curiosity and interest in learning. Sue loves teaching and caring for toddlers.  Hearing a toddler's language development is particularly rewarding.

Favorite children's books are Goodnight Moon and The Big Red Barn.

When Sue's not at the CDC, she spends time with friends and family. Sue is "mom" to a daughter who's a college senior and two adult step-children. Hobbies include flower and vegetable gardening, taking photos and creating greeting cards from them, cooking and baking. Sue enjoys traveling, going to concerts, movies, plays and spending time outdoors. Sue grew up on a dairy farm near Northfield, Minnesota, was a 4-Her in her youth and has lived in Minnesota her entire life.
