Dominican Republic Mission Trip

Work closely with the local Dominican Republic community by going on prayer walks, worshipping with the local church, and putting on a health conference and VBS each day.

Date

March 14-20, 2020 (always from Saturday to Friday)

Location

Barahona, Dominican Republic

The Experience

The DR 2020 team will partner with Pastor Rafael Torres in Barahona, DR through Praying Pelican Missions. We will host a health conference in conjunction with Vacation Bible School. On this team, you can expect to experience the local culture, have your faith challenged and grown, and build lasting relationships with Dominican women, children and the church in Barahona. We are excited to see how the Lord will work!

Our Ministry Partner

Praying Pelican Missions is a leader in short-term missions to the Dominican Republic.

Trip Cost

The team consists of 20 students who have a goal of fundraising $38,000 ($1,900 per person). Fundraisers will be a major part of this year for this team, which will greatly reduce the $1,900 cost per person.

Who Should Participate

This trip is for students who want to get involved in short-term missions work.  A desire to build relationships with people from other countries is a must have, and although being able to speak Spanish would be helpful it is not required. The team going to the Dominican Republic will create a multitude of activities, so students with many different talents, abilities, and passions will be needed. More than anything though, students should come with an open mind and willing heart. This missions trip will not be void of challenges, but will also be filled with God's goodness and faithfulness!
