Administrative Assistant

MaryKay Bursaw

I've been at Bethel since 2008 when my oldest son started here as a freshman. His education brought me here, but my love for my job keeps me here. As the administrative assistant for Constituent Relations and the sole member of the Church Ministries department there is much variety in my role.

Why She Loves Her Job

I love to serve and enjoy the energy and inspiration that comes with serving area pastors, youth, Bethel students and staff. I have the privilege of interacting with Bethel staff, students and area church leaders. It's a joy to learn from them and an honor to serve alongside them.

Guiding Bible Verse

It's difficult to choose just one! Philippians 4:13… Psalm 91… perhaps my favorite at this time is Ephesians 3:20-21:

"Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ask or imagine, according to the power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen!"

In Her Free Time

I'm active in my church as a youth leader for seventh grade girls and at my children's high school, volunteering in various capacities and following their sports activities. I love playing flute, reading, volleyball, biking, “tinkering around the house”, and spending time with family.

My family is also hosting an international student from China. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn about another culture and a joy to broaden our family's reach in the world.
