Summer Guest Information

Summer Contact

If you have questions or updated details about your event or stay on campus, please call the Conference and Event Services Office at 651.638.6203. You may also stop by our summer office in the Community Life Center, CLC109, which is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from May 26 to August 3.

Parking is free and is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Daytime parking is permitted in all campus lots. Review the campus map to determine which lot is closest to the location of your event.

To keep a vehicle on campus overnight during the summer, you must display a parking permit on your dashboard. To get a permit or replace a lost one, call or visit the Conference and Event Services Office. For all other parking questions, contact the Office of Security and Safety.

Building and Entrance Hours

In the summer, campus buildings are open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The 2 entrances to campus are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Outside of these hours, there is monitored access via the west gate only. To access campus after 9 p.m., show your overnight guest parking permit to the officer at the west entrance checkpoint.

Housing Check-In and Check-Out

You or your group leader will receive specific instructions about the check-in and check-out process. When you check in, you will receive a room key and a building access card (all residence halls have secure access). There is a $60 fee for an unreturned key and a $10 fee for an unreturned card.

Beds and Linens

All beds on campus are extra-long twins. If you or your group leader has elected to use Bethel linens, you will be provided with the following: a blanket, a sheet set, a pillowcase and pillow, 2 towels, and a washcloth (1 set per guest).

In all campus housing, the heating mode is not operational in the summer. Below are cooling mode instructions:
  • Edgren: Switch the fan to on and set the thermostat to desired temp.
  • Getsch: Press the fan button to on and use the thermostat knob to adjust temp.
  • Heritage: Set both thermostats to desired temp (one controls living room and one bedroom; the other controls two bedrooms). The fan function may be set independently of temp.
  • Lissner: Set the thermostat to desired temp.
