Campus Clear App

As part of our commitment to caring well for one another this fall, students and employees will be asked to monitor and log their health symptoms every day before entering campus buildings using CampusClear, a self-screening app.

What is CampusClear?

  • CampusClear is a free self-screening app used by colleges and universities to facilitate a safe return to campus and help them make informed decisions about on-campus activity.

Why is Bethel using CampusClear?

  • The CampusClear app is a convenient, efficient, and reliable way for each member of our community to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 on campus this fall. By recording daily health symptoms, students, employees, and visitors will provide the university with important information as we continue to monitor the trajectory of the pandemic.

When do I use CampusClear?

  • Students and employees should monitor and log their health symptoms in CampusClear every day before entering campus buildings. For residential students and residential employees, this includes weekends. On any days that a student or employee is not accessing campus, CampusClear does not need to be used.

How do I get the app?

  • Download the app on your phone or another device and log in with your Bethel email address.
    • iPhone and iPad Users:
      • Open the App Store app.
      • Enter “CampusClear” in the search bar.
      • Click “Get.”
      • Alternative option: Follow this link from your iPhone or iPad.
    • Android Users:
      • Open the Google Play Store app.
      • Enter “CampusClear” in the search bar.
      • Click “Install.”
      • Alternative option: Follow this link from your device.

What if I don't have access to a smartphone?

  • CampusClear can be easily accessed on a web browser. Simply follow this link and log in with your Bethel email address.

Can I turn off notifications?

  • The app is set up to send a notification to your device every morning to remind you to complete your daily self-screening. If notifications are not helpful to you, you can turn them off through the Settings app on your device—but you will still need to use CampusClear every day before entering campus buildings.

Can campus visitors use CampusClear?

  • Yes—visitors can either answer health screening questions when entering campus (at the 3900 Campus security gate or the Anderson Center front desk) or by logging in as a visitor using the CampusClear app.

Is my data safe?

  • Yes, any data collected will be fully compliant with all data privacy laws.

Are you tracking my location?

  • No, this app is used solely for health screening purposes.
