Community Expectations

As a Christ-centered community, Bethel University invites all constituents to act responsibly and humbly submit to one another with loving regard for the needs of others. We strive to elevate kingdom values over personal agendas. We acknowledge that we are all on a spectrum regarding how we view COVID-19. During these unprecedented times of a global pandemic, being together as the Bethel community means being responsible for our own health and being respectful of the health of others. The Bethel University COVID-19 Community Expectations outline how we will live in community together during this challenging season.

Community Expectations

  • Continue to remain flexible. We are still in the midst of a global pandemic, which means we may need to adjust mitigation strategies with short notice.
  • Consider vaccine options with your healthcare provider.
  • Consistently hold yourself accountable in keeping the Bethel community safe from the spread of COVID-19.
  • Encourage others to make decisions that limit the spread of COVID-19.
  • Care for yourself and others by:
    • Getting tested if you experience COVID-19 symptoms
    • Reporting positive COVID-19 test results using the Self-Reporting Form
    • Making choices that reduce your risk for exposure to COVID-19.
    • Maintaining proper personal hygiene and respiratory etiquette (e.g., cough or sneeze into your elbow).
    • Staying home if you feel ill.
    • Abide by the updated COVID-19 procedures.
