Event Description

Movies are enormously popular and influential around the world. “Hollywood,” wrote the American poet Carl Sandberg, “is the most powerful educational institution on earth.” Among other things, movies provide valuable windows of insight into the hearts and minds of our contemporaries. Culturally engaged Christians have an opportunity and responsibility to learn from them, and to affirm or criticize their contents as appropriate. This webinar offers some perspectives, cautions, and resources for doing so with discernment.

Whether you are a prospective seminary student, a current student, or someone who wants to learn more about movie theology, this will be an enriching experience.

We hope you will join us!

This session will begin at 1 p.m. Central
