Event Description

Bethel is offering this seminar for alumni and friends. Led by Bethel estate planning experts, with local attorney April King, it will provide complete estate planning tools and strategies that can result in numerous benefits to your family.

The morning Estate Planning 101 session will follow the book Provide & Protect by well-known estate planning expert A. Charles Schultz, J.D. Attendees will receive a copy of the book Provide & Protect, a wills guide called Creating Your Legacy: A Guide to Planning Your Will and Trust, and access to a free online wills planner account. One book per couple is included with registration.

New this year, our afternoon sessions will address the security and legacy of your estate plan. We'll look in-depth at several gift plans that can provide income to you and your family, offer tax benefits, and support your favorite charitable organizations.

Choose two 45-minute breakout sessions to attend:

  • Gifts That Provide Income: “The Ninth Wonder of the World” (Life-income gift plans, such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, pay you a stream of income and offer other benefits.)
  • Making the Most of Your IRA (IRA charitable rollover, testamentary gifts, etc.)
  • Health Care Directives/Living Wills
