Event Description

Metacognition refers to what people individually know about their own knowledge and thinking processes. It can be used to control one’s learning processes in ways that make them more efficient and effective, but this doesn’t come naturally. Metacognitive skills of monitoring and control must be developed, just as more basic thinking skills must be, through extended practice.
