The Business & Economics Department invites female students and alumni for a special breakfast and to hear stories from multiple women with successful careers in both for profit and not for profit organizations. Learn why each is valuable and how KNOWING YOURSELF and being a life-long learner can help you SPEAK UP and make your best contribution without sacrificing your values or your sanity in the process.

Keynote Speaker

Kari Boyce | Business Development Director for Thrivent Financial

Kari Boyce graduated with majors in Business and French from Bethel College. After a first career in Fixed Income Capital Markets, Kari currently works as Business Development Director for Church & Institution Financing with Thrivent Financial, a Fortune 500 company here in Minneapolis. Her favorite part of the role is that she spends the day talking to church leaders and pastors. Church & Institution Financing serves approximately 1400 Christian churches across the country with mortgage financing and portfolio totaling almost $1 billion. 
 
She has also served as a consultant for faith-based nonprofits in the areas of governance, leadership, strategy, policy and process. She and her husband, Dave, live in Eden Prairie. They are active in ministry at Wayzata Free, where Kari leads a mentoring ministry called Woman to Woman focusing on living and learning together as Christ-followers and life-long learners in the journey.
