Event Description

Bethel University is proud to offer the Bethel Physics and Engineering Program Scholarship. Through this program, two full-tuition and two $10,000/year scholarships are awarded to deserving incoming students who plan to pursue majors in physics or engineering. Each applicant is required to participate in an on-campus visit and group interview. 

Timeline

  1. Apply between November 1, 2017, and January 12, 2018.
  2. Visit campus to interview on January 19 or February 19 (choose one).
  3. Scholarship awards are announced March 16, 2018.
  4. Deadline for acceptance of scholarships is April 1, 2018.

Application Process

Interested students who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements will be asked to complete the following when applying for the Bethel Physics and Engineering Program Scholarship:

First apply to Bethel University.

Then submit the Bethel Physics and Engineering Program Scholarship Application, which will ask for these elements:

  1. A list of all science and mathematics courses not listed on your current transcript that you will complete before you graduate from high school
  2. A short essay explaining what appeals to you about Bethel’s physics and engineering programs
  3. The name, email address, and discipline area of a high school teacher who would provide a letter of recommendation for you if you are selected as a finalist

Next, attend a Bethel Physics and Engineering Program Scholarship visit event and actively participate in a group interview with Department of Physics and Engineering faculty.
