Event Description

Traditionally, curiosity about one's adoption was interpreted by the research field as a search for possible reunion with birth parents. As adoption practice has incorporated contact with birth parents in placement plans, the need arose for a theoretical approach that encompasses the complexity of various adoption types and desires of adopted persons.

Join University Professor Gretchen Wrobel as she describes the Adoption Curiosity Pathway and its implications for understanding adoption-related information needs of those with varying forms of contact with birth parents.
