Event Description

Why are there so many destructive and painful human differences and divisions in the world? The usual answer: humans are sinners and live in a sinful and broken world. But why is it that even born-again Christians – who have both the Bible and the guidance of the Holy Spirit – often seem to have no greater ability than non-Christians in bringing reconciliation and unity across racial, class, gender, and other divisions?

About Our Presenter

In this seminar, Dr. Ruben Rivera, chief diversity officer and history professor at Bethel University in St. Paul, explores answers to these questions – answers that are not necessarily intuitive or conscious. As such, they are rarely brought under the lordship of Christ or included as an essential part of discipleship and church transformation, thereby hindering the biblical call to be remarkable Christ-followers capable of transforming our communities.

Cancellations

Full refund through December 18; 50% refund December 19 to January 11; no refund after January 11.
