Event Description

For the safety and wellbeing of our students, employees, and guests, Bethel has decided to cancel this event given the rising number of COVID-19 cases nationwide.

BUnited, in partnership with BethelBiz, provides opportunities for alumni and friends of Bethel University to connect and collaborate. Our breakfast series is crafted to introduce new ideas, address relevant topics in the workplace and leadership, and start meaningful networking conversations that foster personal, career, and spiritual growth. Please join us for breakfast on April 24 at Edina Country Club and hear from President and CEO of Caribou Coffee Company John Butcher.

About our Speaker

John Butcher was appointed President and CEO of Caribou Coffee Company in January 2019. He has served as President of Caribou Coffee since joining the company in June of 2017. John brings 20+ years of experience with him having served as Senior Vice President of Target's Beauty Division and DermStore, an online beauty retailer owned by Target.

John joined Target in 1997 and held numerous leadership positions in Merchandising and Marketing with a reputation for building brand leaders and creating exclusive partnerships. He most recently led a corporate initiative for the CEO where he reallocated over $4B in resources to accelerate growth in signature businesses.

Since 2010, John has been a leader on the Kelley School of Business Dean's Advisory Council. He has also served as Board Chair for Stages Theatre Company in Minnesota.

John graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for over 20 years and enjoys spending time outdoors and being active in their church. John also enjoys running, kayaking, Minnesota professional sports, and classic cars (he still has his first car, a 1968 Camaro, which is his "other" first love).
