Event Description

Though anti-Asian violence, bias, and prejudice are not new, we stand with AAPI communities and celebrate their agency, resilience, innovations, and creativity as contributors to our full humanity. Roundtable presenters will share their reflections on how they confront anti-Asian bias and spearhead individual and collective forms of agency and resistance when encountering prejudice and injustice. Our contributors will share their own stories from their own perspectives and through their own voices.

Roundtable participants: Kao Kalia Yang; Pang Moua, Associate Dean of Diversity and Intercultural Engagement; Kara Inae Carlisle, Vice President of Programs, McKNIGHT FOUNDATION; Dr. Bernon Lee, Professor of Hebrew Bible; Pastor Paul Kong, Associate Campus Pastor for Cultural Engagement; Maricella Xiong, Urban Farm and Garden Alliance Co-Coordinator, Minneapolis, MN; Tu Lor Eh Paw; Ehkhudah Zar; Hyojung (Alice) Hong.
