Event Description

Tradition! Fiddler on the Roof is the winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score, with such favorites as "If I were a Rich Man," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," and "Sunrise, Sunset." In czarist Russia, Tevye celebrates life and works to instill traditions of his faith in his five daughters in the face of an ever-changing society and an ever-growing culture of anti-Semitism.

"A fiddler on the roof. Sounds crazy, no? But in our little village of Anatevka, you might say every one of us is a fiddler on the roof, trying to scratch out a pleasant, simple tune without breaking his neck. And how do we keep our balance? That I can tell you in one word--Tradition!"   from Act 1
