Undergrad Class of 1968 50-Year Reunion

Greetings fellow college classmates,

Fifty-four years ago, we were readying to start college, none of us seeing precisely what would become our individually scripted life story more than half a century later. Unknown to one another that fall, we assembled on a single city square block across from the Fairgrounds on Snelling Avenue as the newly minted Bethel Class of ’68. What a year that would turn out to be for America as well as for us as the first graduating “Boomers!”

Now our grown-up corporate “class testimony” consists of 200+ individual stories. You have one of those, and the invitation (dare we say, the plea) of this letter is that this October you come back to Bethel to share it. “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under the sun . . . a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” Perhaps our 50-year reunion can be such a time of mingled gravity and gladness for us!

Your Class of 1968 Reunion Committee:

Jill (Graham) Bryant, David Livingston, Lois (Peterson) Olson, Linda (Olson) Runbeck, and Richard Runbeck

The Class of 1968 Reunion package includes the following events:

Class of 1968 Dessert Reception

Class of 1968 50-Year Reunion Dinner and Party

Saturday, October 6| 6–9 p.m. | Eastlund Room, Community Life Center (CLC) Level 2

Together we'll enjoy dinner, hear from several special guests, and spend plenty of time reminiscing and reconnecting.

  • Update your info. Make sure all your information is current so you don't miss out on any Bethel events or opportunities.

  • Submit your information for the class memory book. We’re compiling a book with favorite Bethel memories, personal updates, and photos from members of our class. Those who attend the reunion will automatically receive a copy of the class memory book.

  • Can't attend? We still encourage you to submit the class memory book form so classmates can hear your story, and then order a copy of the memory book for yourself.

As we gather to celebrate our Bethel stories, our class has the opportunity to support current and future Bethel students through a gift to the Royal Alumni Scholarship fund. Learn more and give today. (You’ll also have an opportunity to give when you register for our reunion).

Bethel has secured discounted rates for campus guests at several area hotels. View a list of hotels and request their "Bethel rate."

Classmates, if you have a spare room in your home or need a place to stay at no cost, please contact Richard and Linda Runbeck at Free guest accommodations available on a first come, first serve basis.
