Overnight hosting is an excellent opportunity to represent Bethel and welcome in prospective students. Students living in first year residence halls are encouraged to apply! Hosting requires availability to pick up student(s) at a designated time and allow the student(s) to sleep in your room. Each host is expected be hospitable and to give his/her guest(s) a chance to meet people and join campus activities. Students should check with their roommate(s) before applying for the position to ensure all roommate(s) are comfortable having prospective students in their room. Admissions

The Residence Hall Showroom is an important part of the campus tour for prospective students. Students living in first year residence halls are encouraged to apply! Students must commit to keeping room neat, tidy, welcoming, and presentable for prospective students and their families to view. Students must dress appropriately when present with guests, as well as greet and welcome guests if present in the room when guests arrive.

Students will open their room for 1 week at a time (1-6 times a day) for campus tours Monday thru Friday and some weekends. There will be a rotating weekly schedule with other showrooms and weekend tours will be scheduled in advance.

Students selected will work with supervisor to communicate with floor and RA about tours coming through during the week. Students should check with their roommate(s) before applying for the position to ensure all roommate(s) are comfortable showing their room.

Description: The Assistant is required to provide assistance in lifting, transferring, and positioning a person with a disability, who is a non-weight-bearing power wheelchair user. The assistant is required to be able to stoop, reach, lift and transfer the student in the wheelchair; the ability to listen, take direction, and learn. This is a physical job that includes full lifts from wheelchair to toilet, toilet to wheelchair, followed by functional positioning.
