Description: STARs is a group of current Bethel students that contact prospective students on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout the academic school year. As a STAR, you will contact prospective students for a variety of reasons through phone calls and follow up emails, but also look for new ways to reach students and their families. Most often, we are contacting students to invite them to campus events, to update them on their application, and to answer questions that they may have.

The team for 2015-2016 is looking for current students with a strong commitment to serve prospective students and a desire to communicate your experience about Bethel. Because we need to represent the entire campus, we are looking for people that can bring a unique perspective of Bethel to the team. We would like our team members to be dedicated to STARs and to the Office of Admissions.

Seminary Student Development and Support

Description: The Seminary Office of Student Development and Support is seeking a student worker for 5-10 hours per week. Exact time frame for hours is semi-flexible. This student would be completing basic filing tasks, such as assisting with maintenance of PO boxes, designing and maintaining bulletin boards, assisting in student programming and events, preparing orientation packets, making posters for Seminary events, and organizing student forms, as well as running the Seminary reception desk for 4-hours of the week while completing tasks. This student should be familiar with basic functions in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher and be able to learn basic information about the Seminary (relaying information to Seminary guests in a professional manner) and learn BU’s information storage software, Banner. Disability Resources and Services

Job Title: Access Assistant

Description: The Assistant is required to provide assistance in lifting, transferring, and positioning a person with a disability, who is a non-weight-bearing power wheelchair user. The assistant is required to be able to stoop, reach, lift and transfer the student in the wheelchair; the ability to listen, take direction, and learn. This is a physical job that includes full lifts from wheelchair to toilet, toilet to wheelchair, followed by functional positioning.

Next Fall Hours will be needed between the hours of 9:00am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday (this can be provided by multiple students). We will also be looking for a student, or two, to help a few hours in the summer ranging from 3-10 hours a week. Please email Lis at voneli@bethel.edu with any questions or to receive an application.
