Description: Every Thursday evening during the academic year, a group of Bethel students has been enlisted to facilitate Bethel Buddies, a one-on-one mentorship program for children ages 6-11 and Bethel Teens, ages 12-18. The kids are brought to Bethel by Bethel and UGM vans each Thursday night of programming. A typical night includes dinner, connection time, homework help, enrichment/educational activities suitable for the participants’ age, and prayer. However, this is much more a relationship-based program with time put towards creating authentic connections to in-turn result in educational, emotional, and spiritual development between volunteers and mentees.

The Bethel Coordinator will recruit volunteers from various constituencies on campus (e.g. United Cultures of Bethel, athletic teams, residence hall floors, Shift groups, etc.) and develop the BBT programming for each Thursday throughout the year.

Programming will take place at Bethel University while office hours may happen at Ona Orth Ministry Center in Shoreview, MN.

• Inspection Crew: perform maintenance inspections and basic repairs 
• Moving Crew: assist in setting up furniture in college residences
• Paint Crew: assist with painting in college buildings and residences
