Manager of Bethel Fund and Alumni Participation

About Maureen

I am originally from central Illinois but my sister has lived in the Twin Cities since I was young, so most of my life I would visit her and dream about living in Minnesota. I graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in industrial engineering and followed the Lord's call to serve with Cru for two years in Berlin, Germany. Throughout my time in college and working with university students in Berlin, God grew my heart for the collegiate setting and showed me how impactful that time in a student's life is. When I returned from Germany, I knew God was calling me to the Twin Cities but I did not know what I would be doing. After a long season of trusting in His timing, I was offered this position at Bethel and I jumped at the exciting opportunity.

My favorite part of my job is...
I love being able to tangibly help advance this university's mission of equipping students to be Christ-centered world changers. It is wonderful seeing how many alumni, family members, and friends value the mission of Bethel and desire to help future students have the same experience. I also love being able to manage the team of student Royal Legacy Ambassadors who reach out to alumni to share their story and ask for support. Being with the students reminds me of the big picture of Bethel, and it is so sweet to see them connecting with alumni.

My guiding Scripture verse
Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this—while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

In my free time
I love interacting with people from different cultures and am a part of ministry of hospitality to international students. I also enjoy traveling, exploring the Twin Cities, doing puzzles, and being around people as much as I can.
