University of St. Thomas Partnership

As an educator, you know that education is all about inspiring a love of learning in students of every age, background, and ability. At Bethel, educators earn the credentials—and confidence—to teach in a variety of settings.

Through our partnership with the University of St. Thomas (UST) STEM Certificate in Engineering Education program, UST students can transfer credits toward Bethel’s Master of Arts in Education (K-12) program and fast-track their degree completion.

Bethel’s graduate education program includes a required concentration, allowing students to tailor their experience to their particular interests and passions. A concentration adds 9-10 credits focused on:

St. Thomas credits meet the STEM concentration requirement. In addition, St.Thomas’ TEGR529 Engineering in the P12 Classroom can be substituted for Bethel’s EDUC616 Improving Instruction.

Teachers describe Bethel's education master's students as “the best they see from the preparation programs.”

How do I apply?

Apply for Bethel’s graduate program. Resume and references—which are typically required for graduate-level applicants—will be waived for St.Thomas STEM students and alumni (but you’ll be asked to submit your UST transcript). As part of the application process, you’ll be asked to submit a “statement of purpose” indicating why you believe this program is a good fit for you and what you intend to do in the education field.
