Reading Partners is a national nonprofit that works to expand life opportunities for students who need additional support in building strong literacy skills. We do so by collaborating with Title I schools and community volunteers to deliver data-driven, one-on-one tutoring to students during the school day hours. We provide ongoing training and an easy-to-follow
curriculum that includes all of the books and materials needed for an effective lesson. There is also an on-site staff member that readily answers questions and helps tutors and students work through the lessons.

2024 Summer Job Openings

Summer 2024 Housing Discount: 50% Off

This summer we are offering a 50% on-campus housing discount to students who work full time for Bethel during the summer. 

  • The housing discount applies to the partial summer housing 10-week period from May 27 to August 3, 2024 and does not apply to full summer housing through August. Students will pay $62.50 per week/ $625 for the 10 weeks ending August 3.
  • Students must work full time for Bethel for the entirety of their job contract or forfeit the discount.  
  • The summer housing discount applies to research students as well.
  • The discount on housing is a taxable fringe benefit. At the end of the calendar year in which the discount is received we will need to add those amounts as a taxable fringe benefit. Students should talk to their financial/tax consultant if they have any questions regarding this benefit.
  • Student should complete the housing application via MyHousing for the housing discount by May 20, 2024.

  • Meet with the UV team once a week

Reading Partners is a national nonprofit that works to expand life opportunities for students who need additional support in building strong literacy skills. We provide ongoing training and an easy-to-follow curriculum that includes all of the books and materials needed for an effective lesson. The library operates five Homework Centers that provide one-on-one tutoring to students of all ages. A diverse group of students use the Homework Centers; most are in grades K-12, although approximately 25% are adult learners, and approximately half of all Homework Center users speak a language other than English at home. By offering your knowledge, patience, and skills, you are helping students build on their strengths to develop the skills and confidence to meet the challenges of school and life.
