Office of Safety and Security

At Bethel University, we are committed to creating a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. Our mission is to pursue and promote security excellence that transforms lives within and outside the Bethel Community. Our guiding verse for the department is:

“…What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8, ESV)

Our security officers patrol the campus 24/7/365 and are trained in Suspicion Indicators Recognition and Assessment (SIRA®), Armament Systems & Procedures (ASP), first aid, CPR, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. We have jurisdiction over the St. Paul campus in compliance with Minnesota state law, working in full cooperation with Ramsey County Sheriff's Department.
