This concentration focuses on developing leadership skills based around the theory and practice of transformational servant leadership and why this style is an effective approach to empowering teams and organizations. You will gain insight into your own unique leadership qualities and explore the role of servant leaders within organizations, on teams, and among followers. Biblical foundations and contemporary scholarship are brought together with contemporary practice in order to explore how servant leadership practice leads to team and organizational effectiveness. This concentration is completed with a cohort of fellow students and enhanced with mentoring and faculty oversight. 


Online with Intensives

You'll complete coursework online, with 1-2 week on-campus intensives each year.

The Doctor of Ministry in Servant Leadership is designed for pastors, church leaders, nonprofit leaders, and other ministry leaders. Students will explore servant leadership not only as an important discipline for team and organizational effectiveness, but also as a biblical concept modeled in the life of Jesus Christ.
