The Yoke and The Cross, preached by James C. Racine

April 27

Minnesota native James Racine began at Bethel Seminary in 2008 where he is earning his Master of Divinity. Previously, he earned his B.A. in Philosophy and Sociology from Montana State University - Bozeman, while "minoring" in some of the finer arts; skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, and fly fishing. He has worked in full time ministry, sales and marketing, as well as non-profit development. Most recently he has been enjoying the challenges of managing his brother's growing landscape business. His ministry passions include missional ecumenism, the marketplace, and leadership development. His greatest cheerleaders are his wife Katie and his daughter's Evelyn (2.5 years) and Emmaline (3 months).

Work With Meaning, preached by Kassandra (Kassy) Heinrich

April 29

Kassy Heinrich: lawyer by day, seminarian by night. Kassy is a Master of Divinity student in Bethel's SemPM program, and an attorney with Markve & Zweifel, PLLC. As she explores a bi-vocational calling, Kassy strives to integrate her faith and work to make greater meaning. Whether she is using her legal skills within ministry contexts, or is serving her clients with pastoral care, the combination of two seeming different calls has allowed for meaningful work that matters. Outside her office and the classroom, Kassy serves at Trinity Lutheran Church as a Foundation Board Member and global-mission trip guide.
