Accounting is a growing profession and requires you to understand the language of business, analyze and solve quantitative problems, and make decisions with moral integrity. Bethel's accounting program develops you in these areas, and others, so that you may become successful professionals with the capacity to serve in a variety of settings.

Why should I study accounting?

You'll learn various aspects of accounting including financial, managerial, taxation, and auditing. Our program provides you with the foundation you need to earn professional certifications. There are numerous career options with an accounting degree, and you can combine it with other business emphasis disciplines like finance or business analysis and analytics.

The business degree with an accounting emphasis meets the accounting requirements to take the CPA exam, but you will need to complete additional credits (28 additional credits for a total of 150 credits) for CPA licensure in the State of Minnesota. See the B.S. in Accounting and Finance degree for another option for meeting the exam and licensing requirements to become a CPA in the State of Minnesota.
