The Bachelor of Music Education (B.Mus.Ed.) is an interdisciplinary major between the Department of Education and the Department of Music and Theatre. Music education majors become fully qualified to teach in elementary, middle, or high schools. You can choose to earn a certification in instrumental K-12 or vocal K-12. Coursework provides opportunities to get in the classroom and do the work teachers do, while having time to reflect on your progress as an aspiring teacher. Our rigorous programs are taught by educators with firsthand experience working and teaching in their licensure area.
