Integration of Christian Faith and Nursing Practice

As a student in the Department of Nursing, you'll enjoy state-of-the-art labs, cross-cultural service opportunities, and access to a master's degree in nurse-midwifery right here at Bethel, making us an exceptional school to prepare for your nursing career. Throughout the program, you'll experience a blend of Christian faith and nursing practice, and you'll develop skills in critical thinking and communication to care for patients in a variety of settings. In our nursing program, we'll help you take your faith in Christ and integrate it into everything you learn, into everything you do, so you can accomplish incredible things in your career, in your community, and in your world.

Clinical opportunities

Our program has strong relationships with over 30 clinical agencies, including all major health systems in the Twin Cities area and 7+ public health departments. You'll gain experience in all areas of nursing, including both pediatrics and obstetrics.

Proven track record

When you choose Bethel, you're choosing a university with a strong reputation for preparing high quality nurses. In 2022, we celebrated the 38th anniversary of our nursing program.

Faculty credentials

The majority of the nursing major's full-time faculty members have doctoral degrees. Many of our clinical faculty actively practice in a variety of specialty areas. Several have significant international experience and speak another language in addition to English.

Facilities

Our state-of-the-art nursing complex includes 2 skills labs and 4 life-like simulation labs. Here, you'll experience the nurse’s role in a controlled situation, which prepares you for professional nursing practice.

Unique opportunities

You may have the opportunity to conduct research with faculty. Student organizations include the Bethel Student Nurse Association, Nurses Christian Fellowship and Chi-At-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. 

Cross-cultural learning

As a nursing major, you'll develop cultural sensitivity and competence serving diverse and vulnerable populations in community agencies.

Early admit option

If you have an ACT score of 26 or higher or a TEAS exam score of advanced or higher, you'll have an opportunity for early admittance into the nursing program.

Thanks to generous donors who partner with Bethel to develop Christian nurses, you may have access to scholarships specifically for nursing majors.
