Here are important financial aid dates and deadlines for the 2019-2020 academic year.
October 1, 2018
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available for 2019-2020 school year.
November 15, 2018
- Application deadline for Art Performance Scholarships.
December 1, 2018
- Application deadline for Forensics Performance Scholarships.
- Application deadline for Music Performance Scholarships.
December 10, 2018
- Bethel starts sending financial aid awards for new/prospective students for the upcoming school year.
February 2019
- Bethel starts sending financial aid awards for returning students that have not applied for a departmental scholarship for the upcoming school year
February 10, 2019
- Departmental Scholarship Applications are due for returning students.
April 15, 2019
- Priority deadline for new students to apply for financial aid for the upcoming academic year. (Later applications will be processed, but may receive reduced funding.)
May 2019
- Bethel starts sending financial aid awards for returning students that have applied for a departmental scholarship for the upcoming school year
May 15, 2019
- Student Employment Application due for new students.
- Priority deadline for returning students to apply for financial aid for the upcoming academic year.
July 1, 2019
- We recommend all families submit verification materials by July 1, prior to starting the fall term.
- Begin all loan processes by this date to ensure funds will be received in time for the beginning of fall term.
July 10, 2019
- Sign up for the optional monthly payment plan for fall semester.
August 1, 2019
- Partnership Scholarship forms and matching funds checks due for church scholarships.
August 15, 2019
- Bill due for fall 2018 semester. Classes begin on Tuesday, September 3.
- Enrollment Checklist due.
September 18, 2019
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) deadline for fall semester Minnesota State Grant.
- The Financial Aid Office begins adjusting aid for students who do not meet eligibility requirements (e.g., enrolled less than full time; and MN State Grant adjustments).
December 6, 2019
- Last day to request a federal loan for fall 2018 (Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, or PLUS).
December 20, 2019
- Sign up for the optional monthly payment plan for spring semester
January 15, 2020
- Bill due for interim and spring semester.
- Enrollment Checklist due for spring 2020 semester.
January 29, 2020
- FAFSA deadline for spring semester Minnesota State Grant.
February 10, 2020
- Departmental Scholarship Applications are due for returning students.
February 15, 2020
- Bethel begins adjusting aid for spring 2020 for students who do not meet eligibility requirements (e.g., enrolled less than full time; and Minnesota State Grant adjustments).
March 29, 2020
- Deadline for appeals for reduced income and unusual financial conditions for the 2019-2020 academic year.
April 19, 2020
- Private loans take at least 30 days to process so if you need a private loan for spring 2020, be sure to apply by this date.
May 8, 2020
- Last day to request a federal loan for spring 2020 (Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, or PLUS).
June 30, 2020
- Deadline to complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA.
