Here are important financial aid dates and deadlines for the 2021-2022 academic year.
October 1, 2020
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available for 2021-2022 school year.
December 18, 2020
- Bethel starts sending financial aid offers for new/prospective students for the upcoming school year.
January 15, 2021
- Application deadline for Arts & Humanities Scholarship
- Application deadline for Physics & Engineering Scholarship
February 1, 2021
- Application deadline for Music Performance Scholarships
February 1, 2021
- Application deadline for Chemistry Performance Scholarships
February 10, 2021
- Departmental Scholarship Applications are due for returning students.
Late-February 2021
- Bethel starts sending financial aid offers for returning students that have not applied for a departmental scholarship for the upcoming school year.
April 15, 2021
- Priority deadline for new students to apply for financial aid for the upcoming academic year. (Later application will be processed, but may receive reduced funding.)
Mid-April 2021
- Bethel starts sending financial aid offers for returning students that have applied for a departmental scholarship for the upcoming school year.
May 15, 2021
- Student Employment Application due for new students.
- Priority deadline for returning students to apply for financial aid for the upcoming academic year.
July 1, 2021
- We recommend all families submit verification materials by July 1, prior to starting the fall term.
- Begin all loan processes by this date to ensure funds will be received in time for the beginning of fall term.
July 10, 2021
- Sign up opens for the optional monthly payment plan for fall semester.
August 1, 2021
- Partnership Scholarship forms and matching funds checks due for church scholarships.
August 15, 2021
- Bill due for fall 2021 semester. Classes begin on Monday, August 30.
- Enrollment Checklist due.
September 14, 2021
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) deadline for fall semester Minnesota State Grant.
- The Financial Aid Office begins adjusting aid for students who do not meet eligibility requirements (e.g., enrolled less than full time; and MN State Grant adjustments).
December 3, 2021
- Last day to request a federal loan for fall 2021 (Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, or PLUS).
December 21, 2021
- Sign up opens for the optional monthly payment plan for spring semester.
January 15, 2022
- Bill due for interim and spring semester.
- Enrollment Checklist due for spring 2022 semester.
January 25, 2022
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) deadline for spring semester Minnesota State Grant.
February 10, 2022
- Departmental Scholaship Applications are due for returning students.
February 14, 2022
- Bethel begins adjusting aid for spring 2022 for students who do not meet eligibility requirements (e.g., enrolled less than full time; and Minnesota State Grant adjustements).
March 31, 2022
- Deadline for appeals for reduced income for unusual financial conditions for the 2021-2022 academic year.
April 8, 2022
- Private loans take at least 30 days to process so if you need a private loan for spring 2022 be sure to apply by this date.
May 6, 2022
- Last day to request a federal loan for Spring 2022 (Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, or PLUS).
June 30, 2022
- Deadline to complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA.
