Why I Love North Village

North Village is unique because it is still on campus but gives you a glimpse into what life beyond Bethel could look like in apartment-style housing. Each apartment has a full kitchen, which allows upperclassmen to test out their culinary abilities while still living on campus in community with other Bethel students. Also, we get a pretty sweet walk to the main part of campus each day on a path alongside the lake!

Best Thing About My Job

I get the sweetest opportunity to walk alongside upperclassmen as they begin to question what comes next and what the transition to “adulting” might look like after graduating from Bethel. There is something incredibly special about what happens from the middle to the end of this particular chapter in life and I get a window into the process with my students.

Number One Reason To Live On Campus

There will most likely never be another opportunity like this in life: to eat, sleep, play, and generally just live alongside some of your dearest friends in life. Because of the nature of these close quarters, you will learn an abundance about yourself, grow through challenging and hard conversations, and experience some random and hilarious moments of life in the home of a truth-in-love community.

Favorite Bethel Tradition

Generally speaking, Bethel just knows how to celebrate! From Welcome Week and the celebration of welcoming new students “home” to the great festivities of Homecoming where students across campus get hyped about their specific residence area, Bethel is truly a special place to call home.
