Why I love Getsch

I love Getsch because there is a never a dull moment here. I oftentimes find students playing ping pong, foosball, and other games in the lobby areas. I also find that students love to connect on deeper levels, which is something that is really rare and special. My residents are growing up in front of my eyes and I’m truly honored to be a part of their experience.

Best Thing About My Job

Having the chance to participate in community along with the residents. There’s something unique about getting to live where I work – it’s special, difficult, fun, and really meaningful. I’ve laughed, cried, and had deep and meaningful conversations as a result of this work and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Number One Reason to Live on Campus

Because there’s nothing quite like it. You have the opportunity to learn, be challenged, and grow alongside others in a way that you probably have never experienced before. I truly believe that you can be transformed by your experience in the residence halls and that you can walk away a better person because of it.

Favorite Bethel Tradition

Welcome Week and Opening night in the first-year halls! It’s probably the highest amount of energy you’ll experience at Bethel and there’s nothing like welcoming all of our first-year students in such a fun, exciting, and unique way!
